Have a little one who wants to help out with a big holiday meal? These easy but impressive Fantan rolls are the perfect dinner party project for budding bakers. You can even save time by starting with store-bought pizza dough!
Focaccia Fantan Rolls
Makes 12 rolls Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Total time: 30 minutesIngredients:
- 1 lb homemade or store bought pizza dough
- olive oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp parmesan
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp oregano
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a 10x12 inch rectangle.
- Slice dough into 8 12-inch strips.
- Make two stacks of 4 strips each.
- Cut each stack into 12 squares.
- Line a 12 cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Place one dough square stack in each muffin cup.
- In a small bowl, mix together the egg, parmesan, salt and oregano.
- Brush generously over each roll.
- Bake at 325 for 20 minutes or until the rolls puff up and the tops are glossy and golden brown.
