In 2000, Elizabeth Kolbe suffered a C6-7 spinal cord injury when her and her mother, Cindy, were in a car accident. With the help of her family and friends, Beth would go on to accomplish extraordinary things, including swimming in the Paralympics and for the Harvard College Women’s Swimming Team. Elizabeth works as a lawyer in Washington, DC. Follow their inspiring story of perseverance and teamwork.

Setting goals allows kids to experience growth socially and emotionally by helping them develop self-regulation skills, gain responsibility and build confidence.
If I could offer advice to new moms embarking on the journey I’ve been on, I would tell them to cherish the moments, trust the foundation, and keep talking.
